The history of the establishment of the Master of Information Technology (MIT) Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Mataram University began in 2022, when the submission of administrative documents to establish a new study program was sent to the Ministry of Education and Culture. On December 15, 2022, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology gave approval through a Ministerial Decree. No. 914/E/O/2022 on Permission to Open a Master of Information Technology Study Program at Mataram University, Mataram City.

The next stage involves the opening of new student registration in January 2023, with lectures starting in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Realizing the importance of the quality of the study program, MIT applied for an accreditation process to ensure the feasibility and quality of the study program held. On June 06, 2023, MIT successfully obtained accreditation with good results, affirmed through a Decree with number SK: 2172/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.P/M/VI/2023.

With our commitment to excellence in education, MIT will continue to improve the quality of this Master of Information Technology Study Program. A relevant curriculum, adequate facilities, and an experienced teaching team are the focus of our attention in order to produce IT experts who are competent and ready to face industry challenges and future technological developments.
